Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Your data is currently stored through our provider TSO Host. They run 2 multihomed autonomous systems spanning 3 datacentres in Maidenhead, Milton Keynes and Slough. Unless specifically requested, all services are provisioned in one of these UK locations, ensuring optimal search engine geo targeting, low latency and high performance. They provide geographically diverse services spanning multiple datacentres with near-realtime replication for customers with such a requirement. Our Milton Keynes and Equinix facilities feature two fully independent (“2N”) power supply systems, a part of the leading “Tier IV” standard – the highest widespread ‘classification’ of datacentre specification. All deployed hardware is designed to take full advantage of this feature. Our own state-of-the-art Tier 3+ 2N data centre in Slough, Berkshire, which is just outside London, England is a 20,000 sq ft facility that has approximately 9,300 square feet of data centre floor – with provisions for 120 high density cabinets each housing 30 high-end servers. They own and operate all our hardware.”
